The Juaboso District Assembly has taken delivery of four hundred (400) waste bins from the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development (MLGRD) to help improve waste management in the area.

The move forms part of efforts aimed at promoting environmental sanitation amid the outbreak of cholera in parts of the country.

Information Officer for the Assembly, Mark Tanu told Ghanadistricts.com that health and sanitation were a priority of the Assembly and that the move was a step in the right direction to rid the district of filth.
He told Ghanadistricts.com that the bins will be positioned at various vantage points as the assembly looks to improve sanitation in the area. He said the distribution will also be made to various private and public institutions in the area.

He urged residents to play a supervisory role in their areas and also serve as agents of development to ensure proper sanitary conditions.
