Borehole drilling |
Residents
of Manso Amenfi in the Amenfi Central District will soon have access to
potable drinking water, as the assembly strategizes to complete an
ongoing over-head storage tank and mechanize bore-hole facility for the
community.
Ghanadistricts.com checks from the assembly revealed that the project is about 50 percent complete with the hope that work could be duly completed and handed over before August this year.
Mr. Peter Yaw Kwame-Ackah, District Chief Executive (DCE) for the area disclosing this in an interview reiterate that, the project forms part of the assembly’s effort to improve potable water since water from the borehole will be treated to be more acceptable for an end-use.
He noted that the assembly is currently strategizing to extend same project in other nearby communities to ensure the same purpose.
He said the project is financed through the district assembly common fund.
